Edwardian Mid-Terrace

Newington Green, East London · Full house renovation · Design

For this 3-bedroom period house in beautiful Newington Green, our clients wanted to play around with fun, confident colour combinations in some areas -bathroom, bedrooms - while retaining a sense of warmth and calm in other spaces - namely study and living area.

Family bathroom tiled floor to ceiling in green square tiles, with a black-framed shower screen and a black and white chequerboard floor

The client was not afraid of colour and pattern, so we really leant into this when choosing the tiles for this space. — Angelica

For the bathroom, we went all-out to create a bold and joyous space by combining greens and pinks with geometric patterns & striking black fixtures.

Study with a built-in oak desk and window seat, floating shelves above and a spindle-back chair

For the study, we aimed to make the most of the smaller space while creating an interesting focal point in the room by intersecting the desk and window seat.

Living room in a bay-windowed Victorian front room, with plantation shutters, a terracotta sofa, dusty pink curtains and a sheepskin rug
Bedroom with sage green and terracotta painted walls, a rattan headboard, striped bolster cushion and a woven wall light

We made sure to combine contemporary and traditional when picking out furniture in the bedrooms and living area, as well as reupholstering the client’s existing bed and armchairs, so as to create a space that feels like it has been designed over time.
